In its commitment to invest in the best deep tech startups, GoHub -in collaboration with its partners- launches the initiative The Global Tech Challenge for startups with proposals applicable to smart water management, industry 4.0 and smart cities with a sustainable approach.
The objective of this initiative is to find the best innovative solutions that will allow the creation of the largest global hub of water technologies.
Go Hub's partner corporations with a focus on disruptive technologies participate in the initiative to discover and interact with new startups and spin-offs that work on innovative technological solutions.
TGTC calls for Canadian startups with disruptive deep-tech solutions currently looking for investment, internationalization, and strategic partners. This competition aims to automate and optimize industrial processes with the ultima goal of achieving water efficiency.
The initiative is aimed at the entrepreneurial ecosystem regardless of their geographical location.
3.1 The mere participation in the call implies acceptance of the entire content of these Terms and Conditions. The non-acceptance of any of the points implies the non-participation in the call.
3.2 Candidates must fill in the online registration form available on the designated website https://theglobalwaterchallenge.tech.
3.3 The applicant will be liable to GoHub for the veracity of the data communicated, ensuring that it corresponds to his or her person and not to that of a third party.
A total of 5 finalist startups will be eligible for the benefits offered by the challenge partners, which are GoHub, IBM, GoAigua and Toronto Region Board of Trade.

The startup selected as the winner of the challenge will be eligible for the following:
GoHub has no commitment or obligation to invest in the winning startup if it deems it appropriate, as there is no investment commitment on its part.
If the GoHub Board and the investment team, after a detailed and comprehensive review of the startup, deems that no participant is worthy of reaching a decision to collaborate with GoHub, GoHub will not be obliged to enter such a partnership.
This initiative is not a grant, but a private initiative to attract start-ups, in this case in Canada.
In order to respect the different initiatives and business projects participating in the call, those responsible for those that are selected agree to send the required documentation as well as to participate in challenge.
GoHub reserves the right, unilaterally and without prior notice, to exclude any participant, especially in those cases in which it has suspicions, or it is detected that it is trying to defraud, alter and / or disable, directly or indirectly, the proper functioning and the normal and regulatory course of this initiative.
The selection committee and jury will have the capacity to interpret and complete the Bases of this initiative and their decisions will be final and irrevocable.
The non-acceptance of any of the terms and conditions of the legal bases of this initiative will also imply for the participant the loss of the right to obtain any prize that could be derived from their participation in this Promotion.
The mere participation in the call implies the acceptance of the entire content of these Terms and Conditions. The non-acceptance of any of the points that make up these Bases implies the non-participation in the call and, in case of being selected and / or awarded, the automatic waiver of the prize.
GoHub reserves the right to leave the challenge voided if no startup meets the eligibility criteria.
The applicants selected to participate at the challenge declare to have sufficient titles on the industrial property rights (brands, business ideas, logos, commercial name...) included in their proposals, stating through the acceptance of these bases, no infringement of any intellectual property right or any other right that any third party in Spain or abroad may have on the contents, and exempting GoHub from any responsibility related to the use of the aforementioned programs and / or contents.
Confidentiality will be guaranteed for the ideas and / or projects presented by the participants at the challenge. The organizers may only promote -at any time and through any means- general characteristics of the projects involved, including the names of the ideas and / or projects, participants, and especially of those who win.
Within the acceptance of these rules, applicants, especially the winners, expressly authorize GoHub without territorial or term limit, to fix, reproduce, disseminate and use by all written and spoken means and signed, in any form by any means and on any medium, your name, image and voice, and the general characteristics and the name of the ideas or projects presented, respecting in any case what is established in the sections of Intellectual Property and Confidentiality of this document, provided that the purposes are advertising, informative and / or promotional relating to the day or GoHub without the right to any compensation.
In compliance with current personal data protection regulations, and paying particular attention to the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of April 27, 2016, regarding the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free circulation of these data, and by which Directive 95/46 / CE (hereinafter, the “General Data Protection Regulation” or “RGPD”) is repealed and in Law 3/2018, of December 5, on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights (hereinafter, the “LOPDGDD”), the participants of the conference are informed that the person responsible for the processing of their personal data is GoHub, made up of Global Omnium Idrica, S. L. U. with CIF B-44527141 and with registered office at Plaza de la Legión Española, 4 in Valencia.
GoHub will process your personal data collected through the registration or registration forms on the day provided on the website https://theglobalwaterchallenge.tech to manage your participation in the call, as well as to process communication with the winner of the competition and making it possible to deliver the prize and publish their name and image on our website and on any other medium. In the same way, your personal data may be used to manage the delivery of content through the Newsletter service, in the event that you expressly authorize us to do so through the corresponding subscription forms.
The legitimate basis of the treatment is, mainly, the consent of the interested party or participant, granted through the acceptance of these Legal Bases and their registration in the session. You will have the right to revoke the consent granted at any time in a simple and free way by writing to us at email@example.com, although this will not affect the legality of the treatment prior to its withdrawal. In any case, failure to provide the required personal data may lead to the inability to participate in the competition.
The personal data provided to GoHub by the participants must always be true and complete. In the event that they were false, if the prize had been awarded to the participant, GoHub reserves the possibility of denying the right to opt for said prize at any time.
In general, your data will not be transferred to third parties unless established or imposed by law. Notwithstanding the foregoing, your data may be transferred to collaborating entities, promoters, organizers and other participants in the challenge ("Partners") in order to promote your company and contact you due to interest generated as a result of your participation in the competition. In the event that these collaborating entities were located outside the community territory, it would be an international transfer of data, which would be carried out, in any case, with the due legal guarantees in accordance with articles 44 and following of the RGPD.
Likewise, you are informed that, by virtue of article 30 of the Spanish Commercial Code, your data may be kept for at least six (6) years.
Finally, you are informed that you may exercise your rights of access, rectification, deletion, limitation of treatment, data portability, opposition and, where appropriate, not to be the subject of a decision based solely on automated processing, including the elaboration of profiles, directing a written communication through the email firstname.lastname@example.org, with the Ref. "Exercise Rights" accompanying your request, if necessary, a copy of your national identity document or identification document equivalent (passport, NIE...). If you do not consider your personal rights duly attended, you may file a claim with the competent control authority, in this case, the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
GoHub reserves the right to modify these rules at any time, including the award and / or its possible cancellation before the scheduled resolution date, provided there is justified cause, committing to publish such modification through its website.
Likewise, if during the participant selection process, in particular from the submission of the startups to the initiative until the final selection (if applicable) any participant wishes to exercise its right of withdrawal or to make any type of modification or cancellation related to the information provided, the startup may do so at any time by email to the address email@example.com.
These Terms and Conditions are of a private nature and, therefore, are subject to private law for all matters relating to their effects, performance and termination.
Any dispute arising from the interpretation or execution of the present document shall be To this end, the parties undertake to make, in good faith, their best efforts to reach a consensual solution to their disputes, in accordance with the common intention expressed herein, within a maximum period of fifteen (15) working days from the date on which either of the parties notifies the other of any claim, without the lack of a response from the other party suspending the aforementioned period.
In the event that such disputes cannot be settled amicably, the provisions of stipulation 14 below shall apply.
These terms of participation are subject to the Spanish laws. The place of jurisdiction for all legal disputes arising from or otherwise related to these terms is Valencia (Spain), with express waiver of any other jurisdiction to which they may be entitled.
